The AFL is pleased to announce that the Sydney Harbour Bridge pylons will be lit in Sydney Swans and GWS GIANTS player images from tonight until Friday September 9.
In celebration of both Sydney teams appearing in the Toyota AFL Finals Series for the first time, the bridge will be lit up in club colours every night for the week.
Viewing the Harbour Bridge from the Sydney Opera House side, six images of Sydney Swans players will be seen on the South pylon (left hand side) while the North pylon (right hand side) will feature GWS GIANTS players.
Sydney Swans players featured in the rotating images are Lance Franklin, Dan Hannebery, Luke Parker, Jarrad McVeigh, Josh Kennedy and Kurt Tippett.
GWS GIANTS players featured in the rotating images are Callan Ward, Steve Johnson, Stephen Coniglio, Toby Greene, Jeremy Cameron and Dylan Shiel.
The Sydney Swans will play the GWS GIANTS in the first Qualifying Final of the 2016 Toyota AFL Finals Series at ANZ Stadium on Saturday September 10 at 3.20pm AEST. Tickets available via AFL.com.au/finals
The AFL thanks Destination NSW, City of Sydney and City of North Sydney for their support in making this possible.
to point and say all fans ae only the rich & live on the eastern side. is usual basement dweller simple mentality. considering they are easily the most well supported team in NSW its easily fair to say their fans are wealthy all the say down to working class to NRL fan level on the dole. from all areas of NSWleeroy*NRL* wrote:I think if you did a random walk around the city, eastern suburbs north shore.
