Isn't it funny the insecurity of the bumsniffer crowd - their losing ground to a club that's been around 5 yrs - a very foreign code more members , more corporate sponsorship and more success than clubs that have been around 100 yrs!! It's just laughable! Fans come in time but clearly not to the RL unless it's on TV !

GWS Membership by end of season 15,311, over 2 cities, with go knows how many non ticket members and there most successful season to date

Wanderers 16845, memberships been open a little more than 1 month, and still 6 weeks before the start of the season.

Playing out of the same ground as well. I hope we get the GWS attendance counter we will end up with 30,000 every game.

Yeah but what's the breakdown pal? I've heard they have sections for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, expatriates from fumbleland, alternate life stylers, dodos, yowies and the lochness monster lolololololol. Was just thinking, the combined membership numbers of the Swans and Giants are nearly triple the number of soccer members of Wanderers and Sydney FC combined.

Staggering numbers wouldn't you agree and confirms the AFL's position as the no.2 code in NSW when it comes to memberships, crowds, sponsorship and tv ratings. Wow wee!!!!

with the Swans easily being the most popular team!

Well that's super.....the question isn't why are the WSW this successful it's why aren't they more?? 3 mil pop in WS, main migrants who come from countries where soccer is their 1st language yet only 16k. Why not 100k members and sell outs week in and week out at ANZ after all it only holds 84k with relatively little in the way of competition- yet Melb Victory has twice members, crowd revenue - me thinks your boasting is really highlighting the fact they should in reality be doing much better!!! AF in this part of Syd is as foreign as icebergs in the Sahara dessert!!!!
