I think southport sharks are one of the richest clubs for Aussie rules. They basically make no money from football but pokies, restaurants etc make them a fortune.

I also think for most AFL clubs pokies/clubs make up a part of revenue and could operate without it . Such as Collingwood as an example. I am sure wookie posted the figures somewhere. I wonder if paramatter eels could operate without revenue from the league club. I don't know just wondering.
Also, what was the crowd for last night. Flicked it on in the hotel and looked very small?

They have secured the funding already.

The federal and state government's have agreed to a $20 million upgrade of Brookvale Oval, which will remain Manly's NRL home ground.

With 10m coming out of the NRL's centre of excellence fund currently standing at 40m and given to them by Mr Baird.
