umm X man actually 494k watched in Melbourne
and we can say the same thing, they watch the Fox telecast...
SOO What a Sporting Series (biggest in Australia)
1/3rd of 12k is 4k. Well done, 490k down to 16k =D>
X Man answer this please ?
where do the AFL fans in QLD AND NSW go after the Grand Final ??
how come they can disappear from the AFL Grand final and nothing is said

Xman .
You're argument is flawed when Aflol is in the same boat .
Which is why individual events like the finals and SOO arent true indications of popularity. Just like the Olympic games doesnt completely over estimates the popularity of minor sports like badminton, javelin, equestrian etc

Ive answered that. All events like that have inflated audiences and cant be used to indicate popularity overall

fair enough, so that would be the 2 codes G.F
so the people in NSW and QLD do go missing also..
comparing the olympics once every 4 years to a 3 game series every year wel...
i sorta get ya, but its not entirely the same..
also SOO is rugby league - so it does proove how popular the sport can be.
well it does do it 3 times a year = massive audiences

It proves that people around the nation are interested to see if NSW or QLD will win SOO. Remember it also outrates your own GF by quite a margin, not only ours

You're really struggling now Xman. You're like the knight in the Monty Pythons movie, your legs are gone, your arms are gone, now you're going to bite us to death. Haha.

Very close with the NRL grand final peak but does beat AFLs easily.
NRL 2015 gf regional & capitals peak 4.4 million
AFL 2015 gf regional & capials peak 3.9 million

it outrates our G.F because some people per not to watch particular teams
for example the broncos win, manly etc etc
as in NSW is the whole state and QLD is the whole state.

Xman I have repeatedly pointed out to you that your continual manufacturing of the ratings figures are just the rantings of a mad AFL devotee. I just can't take you seriously. You should just suck it up and move on mate.

picking a single year is stupid. Ours was very one sided while yours was apparently the best GF for years.

It's very simple, you don't watch what you don't like or are not interested in, it is not hard to change the channel or turn the TV off, hence I never watch the AFL.
Seems plenty in Victoria have an interest in Rugby League at various levels.

youve repeatedly told me my points are rubbish without giving a single reason why.
But I'll give you one more chance to see if you can actually address the issues. Here goes: how can averages possibly be taken into account when the average FTA ratings for the AFL are 290k? Do you seriously think the AFL average less than half the NRL for FTA ratings? Friday nights show the AFL average about 100k more than the AFL, not 400k less.
Can you address this point for once?
