St Kilda must be desperate. They talked up Wellington and then pulled out, or got kicked out maybe. Now they're talking it down but talking Auckland up. Not a good way to treat the NZ public I wouldn't think. It's a bit like what GWS did to Blacktown.

Don't think so seems to be the way of professional sport - after all NRL have played games on off and not gone back - how's that any different or having the Storm be a Curtin raiser for the Broncos - that seems more desperate!

I'll stay on topic .
I was just highlighting the forum fuckhead doing a great impersonation of a hypocrite .

Lol & he can't say what The raiders crowd has to do with fumblers in NZ.
Lol

As for trying ..
It's been tried in NZ
Crowds went backward at a rapid rate .

Yet somehow it might work .
Lol

I am not sure why you care do much but you must have your reasons i guess. Just because sonething was tried and did not work is not necessarily a reason not to do it again. Otherwise there would be no nrl team on the gold coast and no talj of expanding a nrl team to perth for instance.)

Ummm because they made a bit of extra $$$ while the Broncos service the Brisbane area every other week.

Fair Dinkum.

Can you point me out to where the NZ AFL side is that competes every other week out of Auckland like you are trying not to suggest happens in Brisbane?

Because when the Gold Coast Chargers were wrapped up at the end of the 98 or 99 season, they had 3 million plus in the bank, had made their first ever finals appearance, made their first ever profit yet the then ARL/SL decided Newcastle needed that money and the Gold Coast needed removing from a renewed joined comp. The Perth lot is well documented, you don't need to lie about that one either.

The point is, what is wrong with trying to promote a game or code in an area wherr it has little interest. I just do not see why all the interest from people who profess to not caring for AFL. If it has little impact no harm is done but if it has some impact then there could be untold benefits. It is basicallt a business decision. What do people who are against this proposal think could be thr cons?

Nothing wrong with trying to promote it

What gets to other sports fans are the lies told about it .

30 k registered players was the biggie last time .
No media ever ever questioned the propaganda
Then it gets repeated till it becomes a fact in fumble land

I didn't suggest that - my point is in professional sport they do games in other cities for money - the Storm playing in Brisbane wasn't done to spread RL or build a following but rather for their bottom line. I didn't think I had to spell it out.
