No I'm not on the one hand the Swans were abiding by the rules and still got penalised - whereas the Storm, Bulldogs and Parramatta are outright cheating if you can't tell the difference that's your problem!

Brisbane have been absolutely shocking for over 10 years and the swans have won a single GF in 50 years. Not sure the AFL are ensuring these teams are succesful

How is it compromised when neither the swans or lions have had anywhere near the success of Geelong and Hawthorn in the last decade?

The swans get more money to try and keep their players because they are located in a non heartland state and the pull to go home is very strong for many players. Their success has been modest at best

As for compromised comp, the two NRL teams with the most success over the last 15 years both had close ties with the competition owner. LOL

The moment one team gets an on field advantage that other teams in the comp don't get then the Comp is Compromised .

it would be indefensible if it resulted in Storm like domination. But it hasnt, not even close. Why? Because a club like Sydney needs an extra incentive to keep talented players from heading home, which has regularly happened to star players over the years.

In fact teams located in non homeland states are already disadvantaged compared to homeland clubs, so any compensation is simply making it more even

of course its not. How could it be even when over half the teams come from 1 state? 4 clubs come from non heartland states where most of their players are recruited from interstate. We have 18 teams and only 23 rounds. It can never be entirely even with such an arrangment.

However, what is most important is no club has dominated the last 30 years other than 2 victorian teams which get no extra assistance
