No we are claiming far more follow RL in these places .
Seeing as RL is the national sport of PNG I'd say we have you covered easily there .
NZ lol .
While no where near as popular as RU over there the gap between RL & AFL is probably the same as between RU & RL .
Want to discuss Pacific islands next .
I think you've been smashed just on those facts alone
but what do you mean by follow? To me watching the odd rep game or playing touch football isnt following a sport compared to being a member and turning up to games. That's a true sign of following a sport

Well please post the numbers that turn up for AFL games in these other countries .
The numbers who play
We are talking about countries with a combined population of approx 12 million .
Not everything is about memberships .
As has been explained a million times .
That is a AFL cultural thing .
You discount people who like a sport ,will watch on TV when they can .
Follow news stories .
Post on social media about it .
But maybe can't afford to go
Maybe they live a long long way away from the nearest match played .
But in fumble land that's not showing you like a sport .
You also discount playing touch .
Seems to be the latest thing with fumblers .
You don't like the numbers that play so they aren't counted .
When I played I played because it wasn't as rough as full contact RL ,plus I was past my best .
I was just playing a modified version .
For no other reason than I loved the game .
As do most people I know who play .
But they don't count apparently .

Perhaps you need to post figures after all it's your thread which you started to say in this region RL is top dog - yet you don't define popularity. What is it you can't understand what Xman is saying?

Png rugby league both the SP Hunters from the Queensland cup and two Local teams playing in a grand final all beautifully taken from PNG's new national stadium that is about 6 months old.
Here are some images of the latest games played over there, can anyone post the equivalent AFL pictures please?
If not, why are you even arguing?

Is the comp televised over there ....
A national team to get behind in international matches .
A team in a lower their comp in Aust .
Played in schools

Well popular is again ill defined, Football has more participation in NZ than Union or League, it is bigger in New Caledonia and Vanuatu and of course it is bigger in participation in Australia.
Not the answer you wanted I know.

Australasia or do you mean Oceania?
I think Soccer would be number one if you count all the asian countries in the surrounding regions.

I think if it's just Oceana then soccer participation wise is most popular - but he won't specify because to do so will wreck his argument!
