Even if they look at what the competition got .
That does not mean they got the deal they did because of the AFL .
That is laughable .

You know what I meant - by knowing what the competition is getting when your figures are comparable makes your argument for more money stronger - that was an is the point I am making - don't split hairs.

Fuck off .
You tried to claim that the NRL only got the deal they did because of the AFlol,.
That's absolute bullshit .
They got the deal because of the ratings ,being undersold the previous deal & having decent negotiators .

Tell me genius .
If that happened why are they not waiting for the Aflol this time .

You really have no fucking idea .

& it's not splitting hairs .
It was a straight out claim by you

Personally the NRL going first is a good thing - the NRL got the deal they did because of the AFL's TV rights - AFL will know how much more it can get if NRL is awarded first

You fuck off do you really think the NRL would have got that high a figure if the AFL only got 750 mil??? Of course they wouldn't because TV exec's would say why should we give you more than the AFL when your ratings aren't significantly more - no matter which way it is dealt without EACH OTHER in this respect they would get as much! What does RU get in NZ or other rugby countries!

Lol .

So according to Sarge logic .
The ARLC don't need to do anything ,but sit & wait for the AFL to do their deal .
Then just ask for around the same .
So many Lols .

Strange thing is if that is such a good plan ,then why are they not doing it this time ?

State of Origin valued at $100 million a year as free-to-air networks prepare for bidding war

THE jewel in rugby league’s crown, State of Origin football, has been valued at a whopping $500 million in the NRL’s next television broadcast rights deal which is tipped to reach $1.5 billion.

As the free-to-air networks prepare to go to war over the highest-rating program in Australian television, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal the NRL intends to value Origin as 30 per cent of the next five-year TV deal.

Crunch the numbers and it works out at $100 million-a-year for the three-match NSW versus Queensland extravaganza or $416,000-per-minute of football played.

The jaw-dropping figures make Origin easily the most valuable product on Australian TV, eclipsing the Boxing Day Test match, the Melbourne Cup or the Australian Open tennis final.

Get ready for the largest TV deal all done without expansion by the looks of it. =D> =D> =D>

NRL will be making profits of 50-100million annually with ease.

Bow down fumblers to the largest event in the country SOO............    =P~

Well that just means that your H& A NRL season is worth very little! Because if the AFL get the same or more than the NRL without SOO it means just that!!!!!

NRL ratings up 5%
AFL down

RL 491k is Melbourne watching RL, more then any AFL game this year.

NRL still have expansion to add value, what has the AFL got please do tell....... =D>

This means our tv deal is going to shit on your Deal from a great height, all without the financial drain that is GWS, GCS.......... :_<> :_<>

bullshit. The ANZAC day was nearly that figure without foxtel.

The NRL's ratings are up on the back of live coverage on Sunday. They are still well under the AFL on Sunday though.

The NRL may end up with more TV money because of SOO, but who cares? We would still be the number one competition on TV when comparing NRL v AFL, and we get far more money from non TV revenue than you anyway

Trouble is that boost is on the back of SOO - take that away and well what have you got??? Only got one more game of SOO left - after that then there will be a steady decline until the finals!!!

For the 100th time .
Our sport has many levels .
Some affect the others .Have an impact on them
But the positives outweigh the negatives ..

But in the end it's ALL RL .
& you lot can't grasp that .
It's simple .
Which still makes it too hard to understand for you southern hicks .
