The_Wookie wrote:Already linked the article above. Along with the 2014 Annual report that clearly posts 27 million in sponsorship.
When will you people actually learn to fucking read. Since you didnt read it before -
The
NRL 2014 Annual Report (pg 89) says
By increasing engagement opportunities with members and fans, sponsorship revenue of the NRL continued to increase in 2014, with the majority of revenue growth attributed to our long-term partnerships. The total NRL sponsorship revenue in 2014 was $27.0m, up from $25.7m in 2013.
If thats not enough for you, then the image taken direct from page 88 shows

The article is pointless if it has the wrong information.

The article shows, very clearly that sponsorship from Origin alone was $20m last year, hardly pointless.
I think you will find that the figure under non broadcast revenue, " major events" needs to be added to the NRL figure.
There is nothing to suggest it isnt either. With the 20m the telegraph says Origin makes how likely is is they make just 7m from the 0ther 80% of the business.

So the AFL bring in around double the NRL in sponsorship revenue. Oh well, goes with their massive lead in overall revenue, crowds, and memberships

The revenue notes from the annual report state that revenue from sponsorship was no higher thana 28.678 million and doesnt split the revenue into major events, but simply game receipts. The article is simply wrong or reporting an estimate that never happened. Arent you leaguies always telling us how wrong the news limited papers are?

estimates, estimates, then fudging, then deflect & call out lies! when it all doesn't work out for them then they back peddle as fast as they can training wheels & all

Other articles show similar total revenue of 100m from Origin but do not give specifics on the breakdown.
An FFA website reveals that there sponsorship revenue figures includes that of there clubs.

Would have been nice if I could even find the article he is talking about.
And the entire reason this thread has gone on two pages is because pussycat cant fucking read. Or refuses to.

This is the football association - its only a website.

				27million seems abit low.
TELESTRA SPONSOR THE PREMIERSHIP
AND HOLDEN THE SOO SERIES
You would think that would be 30mill + alone.
Unless SOO is separate to the figure as it is run by NSW AND QLD
otherwise I have no idea of the low figure.
does anyone have the info of how much the Naming sponsors pay per year.

The_Wookie wrote:FFS its whats the annual report says FROM THE NRL.
Holdens sponsorship is 10 million over three years and its not just for Origin, its also the U20s and the Kangaroos. QLD and NSW leagues have their own team sponsors - who also sponsor the NSWRL and QRL competitions, and is not NRL revenue.

Then the fucking thread title should be NRL lags behind dickhead
Not League
Because league doesnt lag behind. . Does it ?
