doesnt change the fact ASADA said the Sharks players were doped without their knowledge. Why wouldnt the same apply to essendon players given Dank was the culprit at both clubs?

Compare the time he spent at both .
Compare the reactions of the clubs when found out .

The vast majority of people in the media, and not the AFL media only, believe Dank used TB4 believing it wasnt banned, and therefore the players are innocent victims. It's irrelevant how long he was there, they were specifically told they were using compliant substances.

One major difference between Cronulla and Essendon is that the Essendon players asked for assurances the program was above board, where as the Cronulla players just lined up for injections. This is why the Essendon players have refused to accept blame because they believe they have done nothing wrong

I think the only reason the players havent owned up to doping is because they genuinely dont believe they were doped, and the evidence showing they were is mostly circumstantial. They certainly are within their rights to challenge it. The evidence against the sharks players was more convincing so they had no real option but to plead guilty. Even one of their staff admitted the players were given 'horse drugs'. How they got a 3 game ban is beyond me, and WADA just let it slide.
