Sure, the AFL may have a say in how specific AFL media sections report, but not the media in Melbourne overall. Who is stopping the media talking about the storm? To suggest the AFL control the entire media is just nuts

I thought NRL fans thought the media was out to get the NRL?
the reporting of the ASADA drug saga alone proves the Melbourne media arent controlled by the AFL. They were continually hammered for their handing of the issue, and it caused significant damage to their brand

The storm up against Aflol on FTA get more in Melb than the Swans up against no RL on FTA in Syd.
