Yep that why the digital fugures show the AFL years ahead of the nrl. You know if people who cant make the games want some information, cant get to the game, watch the game, wach highlights or even a score update

NRL and Rugby League actually has fans in other nations unlike AFL. So that would quite easily push NRLs fanbase to 280,000 plus ahead of AFL.

AFL has no international appeal as a sport and facebook clearly shows this with many NRL fans in NZ and the UK too.

Facts are facts though, NRL will most likely be the first football organization in Australia to reach the million facebook fans mark.

Merchandise sales, touring team playing, so I disagree wookie, a lot of fans from the UK and France save for a few years at times to follow their national team on Tour or their club and they tend to spend big when doing so buying plenty of NRL stuff, FB helps spread the word.
