mine is simple deduction, Parramatta and Bulldogs have roughly the same number of members, assuming the ratio of proper members to pet members are the same then both have in the vicinity of 14,000 members each, there was 28,000 at the game therefore roughly half from each team.
I also took into account last years averages from Dogs games at ANZ against interstate or low attending away supporters and got to an average of about 14,000.

That is my reasoning, now you claimed there were 7000 eels fans there, based on what?
