How bad were the attendance figures for the NRL 29,000 and 27,000 for the biggest Local Derby events of the NRL Eeels and Dogs and Bunnies and roosters.

That is pathetic crowd, considering eels members how many again? got free entry to the game. At least when the A League play Derby's we fill our grounds.

What is the excuse NRL Fan Boys?
Pathetic crowds indeed and it's only Round 2. Add to the free entry, free public transport and you scratch you head and think where are all these so call NRL fans in Sydney?

Wookie, I am unsure there were any derby's on in the HAL this week, actually I am bloody well sure there wasn't (the distance derby being an inside joke)

And that was my point, I don't think there are bigger derby's in the NRL than Parra v Dogs or Roosters v Souths and to get such poor crowds.
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

how bad you say, it's round 2 and already the NRL has had 3 crowds above that, your precious a league probably got those crowds about 3 times all up thru the season and probably includes the coming up grand final.

30k in Sydney for a Rugby League Game is considered a Good Crowd.
it did on both days. Friday and sunday rain a little which prob kept 5k away.
the ratings Were Big for the 2 games Though. as expected.

I think the Sunday Live Game Will add about 100k + Viewers each game In Sydney.
so that's about 2.6million over the year.

so giving Parra members free entry still can't beat Sydney FC hosting Wanderers (who have to pay), nor Victory hosting City

Sun TV #NRL #NRLSouthsRoosters Nine 513k (Syd 341k Bri 172k) GEM 33k (Mel 22k Per 11k) add regional ratings and this game alone is about 250k above the normal delayed telecast.

So if this can keep for the rest of the year it will give the NRL close to 5million extra viewers for the year.
