Hope you're right mate. The kids were certainly impressive on Sat night and a better effort all round from the others when compared with the last 3 weeks was apparent. Still far from convincing though.

Port beating the Kangas today has me a bit worried though. Thank god we are playing them in Sydney.

I agree. Yes, I was mega depressed at not only our losing streak but the style of football we have been playing.

But things finally came together against Essendon. i know the dons are shells of their former shelves these days. But the footy we played was at least attacking and attractive. And we got to blood a few young kids as well, which did show promise. Vogels even kicked his first goal in AFL football.

I have a quiet feeling about Sunday's match Beaussie. Port have a poor record at the SCG, having only thrashed us once there since they came into the comp. It will still not be easy and Schauble will have to play CHB on the ever dangerous Tredrea. But I just have one of those gut feelings about next Sunday.

Remember, I told you all first OK.

Hang on Guys, have I missed something here?

You beat a bottom of the ladder side by over-running them in the last quarter - a side who rarely ever wins a fourth quarter.

I'd call this a "caytons" victory - typical Swans. You won the game by kicking less goals than the losing side!!!

Hilarious stuff!

I take your point Croc, but the main thing is we got a win and hopefully it does the confidence a world of good. As has been mentioned there were positives to come out of the game the other night. Still big concerns with our forward line however and Port back on the winning list has me worried about this Sunday. Still we got a win and the 4 pts is all that matters. We move on to the next game and hopefully another victory. I bet you wish you could say the same for the Lions.

Mark my words Bea, we will win on Sunday. port are NOT the team they were last year. and have an atrocious record at the SCG, having only won twice here. They have only thrashed us once, despite us being mid-table and them always near the top. They do not like our widdle ground at all.

I'm quietly confident that we will do something on sunday. Bt that will only occur if we put SCHAUBLE on Tredrea and not ****-features LRT.

JF - you can back the Swannies with me. I'll even give you odds of 2-1 ($3.00). Please PM me and I'll make arrangements with you.

That goes for anyone else - if you think the Swans will win this weekend, back them with me!

JF
I'm still of the opinion that LRT is not suited to footy. His skills are atrocious. He only did one good thing on Saturday night that I can remember. Cleaning up after a stuff up. It did however result in a goal. That said, he just looks to clumsy out on the field. Probably gotta a lot to do with his rugby background I suspect. I suppose we just persist and hope with time on the field his confidence and skills will improve.

Tredrea is going to be very dangerous on Sunday. Hopefully Shuaubs can keep him under control. Jolly coming back into the team is a bonus for the Swans as well. Eases a bit of the pressure placed on Goodesy over the last couple of weeks.

I hope you're right JF and Port's record at the SCG is certainly something that gives hope. It still is not going to be easy with the likes of Tredrea, Wanganeen, Primus and Francou running around.

Yes I would agree BeAmerican about the likes of the Port players on the ground...but it is also what will be off the ground that will be disturbing as well....As I can confirm that the Grim himself will be present at the ground to make life a living hell for those Ca Swannies....

Just hope it is a repeat of 2003 and the young Grim Poulton did when he kiked a goal after the final siren to WIN!

Croc I'll take you up on those three to one odds with an avatar bet. I wear any lions av you choose for two weeks if swans lose, you wear any swans av for 6 weeks if swans win. I'm assuming you'll say yes

You assume correctly KE, although I must point out that I offered odds of 2-1 or $3.00 in TAB language. But for you, I'm prepared to sacrifice my principles.

This offer has been accepted - now, why don't you have the balls to back them with me? I'll even deposit money to cover any bet in a third party's bank account to guarantee integrity of the bet and payment. So how about it KE?

Oh and croc im a man of my words, i'll pay the dosh if i lose dont worry about that, actually im sure you wont as you know i only speak truth and nothing else! :)

Just the money transaction is a bit difficult, i can get ur number off beaussie and text you my details when i win ok? Sweet.

No you'll get ten dollars deposited if swans lose...which they wont. And what about a lions bet? I'm wondering what the odds of them were on not making the 8 at the start of the season? I'd guess around 15 to one. happy to put another ten on those odds croc. But i understand if you dont want to i mean where are they coming now? Anyway offers up if you want it. $150 for me if lions dont make the 8 $10 for you if they do
