I see AFL still being a little one nation code with continued failed attempts at getting any other nation interested. At least Grid Iron has a league in Canada too. No such luck for AFL
Although I can see an AFL team in little Tasmania by then.
The Hyandai A league will still be seen as the amateur league compared to the superior EPL in the UK. Where 3rd devisions UK teams are better than most top A league sides
The standard of Pacific Island nations like Fiji and Samoa getting a lot better a rugby league.
at least AFL has a nation!
unlike League, just an amateur embarrassment in every country it played in riding off the back of Union!
Rugby League has never ridden off the support of Union. Rugby Union does everything it can to stop the growth of Rugby League. So that is another lie from you
I made my sig because the same liar kept repeating his lies, I still have the fucking thing, take another look at it you frigging dingbat, how the hell does RL ride on anyones coat tales when it gets more money for a fucking start?

why is it wherever Union is played, League is played
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million
Leagueiscrap

It very much depends on each code's handling of both the current structure and future expansion. All four codes have their issues and their positives. On the field the NRL need to expand into the other states as soon as possible. If they stick to New South Wales and Queensland (and New Zealand) they'll be crushed. In 20 years if they are to be there still they must have teams in Adelaide, Perth and Tasmania and a second team in Melbourne. They also need that second team in Brisbane.
The AFL are in a better position than the NRL at present, but the Essendon saga is a big threat to them. They also need to expand, and Tasmania must be done as soon as possible. Canberra must also be added. Expansion overseas should also be explored.
The A League are inconsistent and they must stop concentrating on the Socceroos as their flagship. The flagship has to be the A League. The standard has improved greatly, but the numbers that exist at local playing level isn't reflecting where it should be. Money is needed to keep our players here instead of going to Europe where the big dollars are. If they don't do this, in 20 years the A League will be gone and replaced by yet another national competition.
Union is at a crossroads. It relies a lot more heavily on international competition than any other code at club level with all the clubs in the Super 15 from New Zealand and South Africa. Adelaide need a team to balance all of it out and a bigger effort needs to be made in Perth. Australian interest has to be nationwide and at the moment it is behind League except maybe in Canberra. The Waratahs had a big boost with their premiership win, but strength relies on the others. They need to maintain strong promotion to be relevant in 20 years.
Bake away, gentlemen.

But that simply is not true.
Rugby league has a presence in plenty of obscure countries Rugby Union is not popular in.
I don't think you realise how far ahead of AFL that Rugby League is internationally. Sure in the Southern states of Australia it will always be AFL.. but I can't see AFL catching Rugby League overseas.
Can you imagine Lebanese getting behind an AFL team like they do with the Canturbury Bulldogs
