There are some suspect AFL crowd numbers as well.

I honestly think that the counting of crowd numbers in all codes should be taken control of by independent auditors. That way there can be no interference by home club interests or whatever else.

its done by stadium management in most cases in the larger venues in Australia, but at the NRL club grounds, it is done by the clubs, hence the decades of crowd fudging

there are plenty to prove of the NRL fudging

The Eagles count their own at Paterson's as do the Dockers. I am very suspicious of the crowd numbers at Spotless and at Startrack, as well as Metricon and the SCG.

be suspicious all you want!, but the the crowd figures are back up buy the much larger AFL club revenue streams from football related revenue.

No that's not true, otherwise the AFL wouldn't need to prop them up. The crowds at those stadiums do not look as full as the attendances claim.

The Eagles and the Dockers are both run by the WAFC.

I think every code does it. AFL definitely did for alot of their gws games.

There were some games that I think were suspicious, I agree. But no one can really prove it. The safest thing one can do is get the numbers counted and checked by independent auditing.
