so with revenue not raising dribbler dave, the NRL needing to pay bills for some clubs, millions in advertising their little game as well as all of the promises in spending at grassroots levels. where will all this extra money come from ?

why announce a large profit when you have to pay tax on it?
why not invest in your product to minimise the tax. as long as revenue grow & the game grows as what the AFL does.
its better than cutting costs, to announce as big as profit as possible & then pay a shit load of tax on it. NRL style
