I think one of the sooker wimps provided a half decent answer to the thread question on the last page but he didn't provide any evidence other than his own opinion that its because the players are young and that the socceroos will soon jump up to about 40th where they belong. I'll believe that when I see it.

For now tho they've plummeted, and badly. Its sure to have bad effects on the game at grassroots. But what do others think the reasons as to why are? Have youth becoming less interested in the game over the past decade and we are now seeing the translation of this on the pitch? Shithouse coach? Or just plain shithouse team who are hacking and fouling their way thru scoreless games?

if cristiano ronaldo has the largest bank balance on the planet out of any sportsman then there's a reason for that. he plays a sport where the athletes are seen as he pinnacle of any sport, the most sought out sportsman there is.

jarryd hayne was making pocket money in comparison and eventually gave up RL because it was inferior to the NFL both athletically and financially. same as burgess, sbw, folau, hunt etc
