Raiders as an entity are worth a good deal more
their parent company is as they own around 7 leagues and sporting clubs.
the Raiders sporting club is worth nothing more than a slab of beer!
buy one of the raiders leagues club & get a worthless NRL club thrown in as well
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

if the raiders were so rich the government wouldn't of slapped them in the face in regards to their new stadium

i quote - "the raiders would be unable to pay the rent for a 40k stadium, 20k is much more realistic considering they dont have many fans" - ACT GOVT

FACT

clinging on to some real estate rubbish...shit is cute davey boyo but i don't know if you realized...my own club is owned by a billionaire...billionaire. he could buy the entire raiders football operation and turn the place into an orphanage! tis' the truth, don't cry

yes pokes pokes pokes is what makes the oxygen thief's parent company all their money in their 7 leagues clubs
thats their parent company dribbler dave, like many of the A league clubs will billionaire owners are the ones with the money
Raiders the NRl club is a worthless piece of shit!
the NRL club
had a $12 million revenue
The club's income also includes $1.4 million in annual ''appearance fees'' from the ACT government, which also provides payroll tax concessions worth $500,000 each year
& they still made an operting loss of
around 6 million in distribution money from the NRL commission
& the Raiders still made a loss of $226,000 loss :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>

http://www.canberratimes.com.au/act-new ... 1xzpx.html
great parent group wealthy from its pokes, run the club on a shoestring budget

to put in prespective minnow teams in the AFL like Stkilda & North Melbourne run on a revenue turn over of around 30 million
& the poor little raiders cannot raise 12 million, even with half of it coming from the NRL appearens fees from the government &^ payroll concessions

st kilda are a funny club they do have supporters that come out of the woodwork when they have a bit of success, but are from being a large club, of the melbourne clubs they are in the bottom 3

there is a list made from the AFL clubs annual reports compiled by wookie of each clubs turnovers & financial figures.

when you those figures compared to the raiders, you get a better indication on how small the raiders & the NRL clubs are

not sure how the A league clubs go, but teams like the Victory & WSW would have to be turning over some decent money?

Salary capped league 2.6 million or so, all of which is covered by the TV deal, 2 marquees that you can pay outside that cap. Wanderers have just won 2.5 million so they are looking real good, SFC, and Wanderers both sold a lot if mere over the past 2 years finacially looking fine, not high turn over but low overheads. We don't have the leagues clubs backing which I don't mind no pokies. Rich owners, and sponsorship

before the new tv deal victory were the only club turning over a profit before player sales, other clubs were either going close(after selling players) or losing serious money.

del piero increased my clubs profile tenfold - we still made a small loss over the time he was here but our turnover doubled, we were able to secure individual tv deals in italy and india on the back of him which in turn, has seen the a-league secure deals with these countries as a whole since. sponsorship increased and membership numbers doubled. since he left, our membership has risen even further, we have more sponsors on board and now we are building a new training facility and youth academy. it took us a while to get to this point but things are finally starting to work and im so happy.

brisbane were bought by the bakrie family(indonesian tv magnate) and they've turned that club around completely. they were successful on the pitch but weren't making any progress off the pitch. the suncorp stadium deal is the most expensive in australia and saw them lose a lot of money before the bakries came along. since they came onboard they've upgraded their facilities, membership has gone up, more sponsors etc etc, and they're still winning titles. they still could do a lot better though

the wanderers will probably be the most profitable club in nsw after this season given their prize money winnings from the champions league, membership, merch and sponsors on the back of their GF final appearance and the ACL run. makes me a little jealous but it's for the good of the game

victory turn a profit every year, they're a super club. not much needs to be said

city will revenue will go through the roof and they won't need to sell players to break even anymore

newcastle needs new owners - ffa will take them over sometime this season methinks, phoenix are doing OK but OK is not enough in my opinion while the ccm are the real basketcase for the league, they have the best training facilities in the state yet struggle to draw crowds and members. they were doing great in the first 5 years, good crowds, profitable etc but the novelty wore off and it just flatlined ever since

adelaide yo yo from profit to losses every year, they should do good this season though

memberships are the big money maker for any club of any code when it comes down to pure footballing operations and just about every a-league club has gone forward this year in that regard.

selling players overseas is also another natural advantage the a-league has over other codes. i'll post a list on here later of all the transfer fees paid for a-league players in a bit. the record amount paid for an a-league player was daniel de silva of perth glory who was bought by italian giants roma for $2.5m - he's still in australia and will complete the move when he turns 18
