Well I know two things, you say you follow Sydney FC yet I see no posts about them, all you post about is your so called biggest rival in WSW even though both Parramatta and Sydney FC average more.

You rave about 113k people watching a soccer game knowing it's shit.

That brings me to point two, you obviously love AFL and don't actually follow soccer at all and what you and your little mate are up to is trying to turn people off soccer.

You are a strange one.

You know nothing of Soccer out here, you know what a bandwagoner would yet if anything AFL pops up, you have all the "facts".

As I keep saying each time you lie, you're a fraud.

try scrolling up to see me handing daveys smelly arse with my daily beatdown of sydney fc vs canberra raiders

half my posts are in reference to sydney fc - and why wouldn't i! our average is fucking beautiful and holds its own against or even smashes any nrl club in sydney

the wanderers will get plenty of my time here since they rile you up so much. i love the fact that 3 letters in my posts(WSW) will get you going into a fit, froth at the mouth and all...it's a sight to behold...thought you'd be used to that by now

113k watching a soccer game on paytv at the exact same time 88k are watching another soccer game - 200k soccer supporters out in force on tv. they're beautiful ratings whether you like it or not. how many sports after AR and RL are going to have ratings fluctuate to those heights and average a little lower for 6 straight months for one competition...i'll answer that for ya - none! super rugby can't do it, neither can the nbl, neither can the nrc, domestic cricket...and now even international cricket is taking a hit. like ive always said, reset your expectations for other sports - the big 2 get $1 billion for a reason whereas our ratings, and their growth attest to the fact that we are working our way up above the rest of the pack.

when the a-league first started we were averaging 40k on fox, behind the super rugby, domestic cricket and barely beating the nbl ontop of no fta coverage. we're set to more than double that on pay tv alone this season and have more exposure on fta than ever before. why shouldn't we be celebrating? [-(

the second last bit....wtf does that even mean?

and for the last bit - you reek of jealousy! like yourself during the "barbed wire" days at parra, ive been a soccer fan since i graced this fine planet, grew up in a family of sydney olympic fans and spent my childhood years watching us play in the nsl - the growth ive seen in my lifetime as a supporter of the game has been immense and will keep growing

unlike the other codes, our natural advantage is that our participation numbers are dominant, there are fans of soccer all over the country that are not necessarily fans of the a-league, participation attests to this - premier league tv ratings also attest to this....our key since it started has been to convert those soccer fans into a-league fans and it is slowly doing it's job. in 2011 there was only 1 a-league club in sydney, averaging around 12k - nothing flash. enter a new club and automatically tens of thousands of new a-league fans are introduced who wouldn't of bothered otherwise. and there are even more in sydney waiting for another team

the biggest thing on top of that will be when the current group of fans get on, have their own families and bring them up on the a-league. our gen y are the most powerful group of consumers in the sporting market...me included
