Haha for the AFL to move to a night game, they are going to either have to move its GF to a Sunday so it's in line with their current season and also not to go head to head with NRL prelim final, or move the grand final further back a week so it gets any air time in NSW and QLD.
How funny is that?
Poor AFL, you continually try to take over nsw and qld during our finals time by flooding the market with AFL grand final blah blah blah like it's our footy history so the NRL is drowned out, you even have trolls at LU/here/BF boasting about this little tactic. Unbelievable that channel 9 has the rights to the NRL yet each day right up till the day of the grand final last week when the swans were playing someone, they had their morning shows coming out of Melbourne flooding the other markets with non stop AFL news. They beat the AFL up with so much they were doing channel 7's job for them, hey free advertising aye, don't look a gift horse and all that. Yet during the NRL GF week, nothing, no getting right into it and holding the show at teams areas. Just a normal build up. The NRL still won the GF ratings even though the media tried their best to get the AFL over the line.
As I said, the AFL are going to have to concede more than just a day if they are to take on the NRL in a GF ratings war, I don't think the Victoria game has the b@lls to actually take on the NRL like that
