Ok, part of the problem with GWS members is they come in two types - almost no one is going to have a full season membership due to 4 games being played a season in Canberra - which has its own membership class. So while I think the membership numbers are accurate, they are only so if you assume they comprise mostly 3 and 5 game memberships, and generally will go to different matches.
I don't know why AFL did'nt just put a team in each area. An ACT AFL team and a Western Sydney one as well as Gold Coast. The code seems to always boast of record profits, so 3 new teams to keep funding would have been no problem.The_Wookie wrote:well fuck me dead he was too.

Instead they have a Sydney team playing in two cities.
