The poms would get it because they have all the stadiums there ready to be used, no AFL played over there to ruin grounds, they're all Sokka League/Union pitches.

But but but England also has Cricket ovals which according to some fumble cult thinking makes them an automatic AFL field.
So when Derpball takes over the UK & they want to hold the intergalactic cup there ,then they have the ovals.

You know it's true.
If we just get 1% of cricket fans .. :<> :(/ :(/

england were bidding for 2018, not 2022

the likelihood that qatar loses it, it'll most likely got to the US but there is still a chance for australia albeit a slim one

Yes, they have cricket ovals where cricket is played.

They are not AFL ovals and I doubt you'd be seeing the poms let the AFL rip their grounds up and turf out their pitches so the poor little AFL players wouldn't get hurt on the wicket area.

Dream on son, dream on.

rugby does more damage to pitch surfaces than AFL

wigan's shared ground, sfs etc attest to this vs the etihad which is used by heart/victory and various AFL teams

If you knew as much as you think you do you would know the RL fans laughed it off because where the pitch was worn out was in front of both goal mouths where the keepers stand all match and the very centre of the field and from one end to other other both sides where the sideline umps/refs whatever they are along with the ball boys keeping running up and down.

RL is played right across the feild moreso than Union and sokka, the teams don't tend to stand around on the one spot very long as each few seconds you are either moving to the side, moving backwards or moving forwards with people to the sides of you spread out along a line, not all the people gathered on one bloody area like happens in Sokka and some really bad games of Union!

See where they have to fix the pitch?

LOL

Same thing right here on a pitch that has no Union or League.

Are we seeing a pattern yet?

every single pic you've posted is from 10 years or more

that old trafford pic is from the late 80's to early 90's ffs you silly boy

pitch restoration right now is at the highest level it's ever been. The only pitches that get torn up these days in England or Aus are lower division teams who can't afford to relay their pitches or those that share with other codes

The 2 pitches voted as the worst in the HAL by the players 2 seasons ago were the SFS and hunter because they get ripped up very often(SFS) and/or the club and local govt don't have enough money to relay their pitch more than once a year(Newcastle)

other facts in ruining surfaces are concerts, motocross events among other things

etihad pitch for the melbourne soccer teams have mostly been OK, the bigger problem there is the pitch markings left by the AFL when they paint on the grass. But as far as holes and mud slowing down the speed of the pitch, you don't see it too often

lack of grass in the goalkeepers 6 yard box isn't even an issue especially if it's flat. It's everywhere else on the pitch that will have chunks of holes out of it that will turn a flat pass along the ground into a bouncing tennis ball

this is what old traffords pitch looks like now in 2014 you dummy

nothing you rant and rave about will prove that that stupid game you are talking about doesn't fuck up their own pitches exactly how I said they do and where they do, the pictures don't lie.

wigan were playing in the premier league in 2005

looks like i was half a year off give or take

still pretty much ripped your argument to shreds

the pic you posted of their pitch was post bon jovi concert in 2007 which was later fixed. rugby does its damage but not even the most dimwitted among you would say any sport could of created a red carpet length of pure mud

ive seen worse in newcastle though

you have no excuse for posting pictures from years ago, including one that was from 20 years ago claiming that they were even remotely relevant

but you're a dummy so it happens...im not gonna complain because i win anyway
