Ummm, why would this be bad for the NRL, our GF is well over a week away in clear air by itself while the boggerboys have to share the limelight all week with RL prelim finals.

Yes but I think the point he's making is that when two of the biggest games in the year are on - the lead up to these games is disrupted by Buddy and The Swans taking the focus off those teams and the games - The NRL use these games just like the AFL do to generate interest - e.g. sponsorship in NRL. It is a night mere because their heartland is busy talking about another game!!!!!

Swans forever have you seen the sports section of Sydneys most read paper (daily telegraph)? AFL never made the front page once lol.. That tells you how much people talk about AFL.
