I'm not a big believer in participation statistics. I find the Sydney AFL figures to be just as sus as the VRL figures because it's about interpretation of "participation". That's wide open!
I prefer to go on club numbers for a real indication. I think both codes are doing okay outside their home states. League could do better in Melbourne with the Storm about though. But it's not bullshit.

You didn't see all the kids in the video and listen to how many played in the tournament, did you.

That's my point. It's cheap statistics that use natural child like interest that is never maintained no matter what the sport.

It's kids playing rugby league in Victoria in record numbers for the code, I see no bad in any part of that.

Which ever clubs, these kids were playing the finals, they obviously played together beforehand in the same club for however long to reach this part.

You said it was a tournament. Stop changing your story. That's what the AFL do constantly. You don't want to be like them do you as a Parramatta fan?

good to see RL killing in vic!
so how many Victorian born and bred players are currently playing in the NRL, or even and half decent comp of league
not many
make up and spin any number of participants you can!, but if their aint many Victorians running around in the NRL, the numbers are BS, like the other numbers the NRL produces

Just like there aren't many Cockroaches or Cane Toads playing in the AFL right? Some balance is recommended I think.

no
n round 23 2012, Mahe Fonua became the first Victorian-born and bred player to play in the NRL when he made his debut for Melbourne Storm. He played his junior career for South East Titans (formerly Berwick Bulldogs) in the Victorian Rugby League.[43][44]

NSW and QLD has been supplying players for the AFL for decades.

Don't change the field. You said Victorian, and suddenly you change it to Melbourne. There have been a number of clubs on the Murray River on the Vic side of the border that have sent players to the NRL, or even the NSWRL way back when.
