Wasn't serious enough to bother doing the training required. But clearly most nrl players have the skills and professionalism to make it into the AFL ;)
cool story. Beyond the two who where recruited for promotional roles, which RL players have made it in the AFL?

There's only been two who've wanted to...and both made it to the top level! :D

Perhaps a better question would be how many nrl players could make it to play AFL level footy if they wanted to?

Khunt and izzy were pretty standard good players. So we could prob safely say 80% of wingers and fullbacks would make the AFL. So thAts approx 40. Then you've got the centre positions, five eighths and halfbacks. We could safely say about 70% of those could make it. So that's another 43 odd. Then you gots all the forwards. They're generally a bit slower but many hookers and locks would make fantastic AFL players. So you could safely say 20% of nrl forwards could play good in the AFL. So that's another 19.

So all in all about 102 nrl players could easily make the switch to AFL. 102 or approx 5 teams :o

How many AFL players could make the nrl? I'd say 2 would be a generous estimate.

We can only go on the facts to date.
& that is at top level 2 RL players played at the top fumble level (not just a token appearance)
They were also in the top paid players in AFL..
At a far lower level a RL team with next to no experience entered a Schoolboy AFL comp on the GC & WON..LOL.

Now can anyone show me a Fumbleplayer or team doing the above..

Facts are facts & it shows how converts from other sports easily can play top level derpball.

But sadly derpers cant really do much in other sports.

Yes actually on those facts and if we look at josh pike and Lewis Roberts Thompson, who were hopeless union players b4 switching and excelling at marngrook at the top level, I'd have to make my prediction higher. Prob more like 150 current nrl players could make it in the AFL.

Tadgh Kennelly from Gaelic footy showed up most AFL players and there's many others who've switched to marngrook and found the transition a sinch

Sorry nlol dems de facts bro :>::

I guess its just the RL players who don't make it then.

Well it's a shame the AFL chose 2 of our money hungry gold diggers who were never in it for the code but instead robbed the org blind of $10,000,000.00 + if it's player pool money before pissing off laughing all the way to the bank.

But even so they still looked ok on the field and made the pinnacle of marngrook.

There was a sporting Athletic show on TV a few years back, " Australia's greatest Athelete;, featuring the best athletes in each code. Slater was the leagues representative and he won it two years in a row. He didnt enter the third year but the AFL still could'nt win it. A rugby union player did. :(/ :(/ :(/

Stop talking up the KHunt, a hack with an axe to grind. He wanted to return to league but know one was prepared to pay his asking price.

Here I will give you a clue. Most years the AFL guy was a plodder the one year he wasn't he was a speedy 21 year old. They were far from the AFLs greatest athletes.

what does it say about AFL
2 top line NRL players move across to AFL struggle, then both leave for union, one is staring for Australia & the other will make his first appearence next season.

no AFL player has really bothered to leave the sport and make it in another

so spazza try and bend and twist it any other way NRL players cannot play AFL

Slater went well. Other former RL players came last and 3rd last from memory. How's them apples?
