I was on the Gold Coast on the weekend and both taxi drivers to and from the airport were more into the Suns and the AFL than RL. They were certain the AFL was gaining massive amounts of ground up there.

I was also out to dinner with some people from country NSW, from Young, who were recent AFL converts, playing the game for their local club. They couldn't get enough of the game on TV and preferred it over their previous sport of RL. Funny enough they had never been to an AFL game but we're dying to go just to experience the atmosphere.

Yeh well beat this seeing as you fumble tards are bullshitting so much.
My Auntys Neighbours 2nd cousin ,well she heard from a friend of hers that 2 co workers who were fumble ball fans went to a RL game & now are hooked for life.
They thought it was great that people actually had to get the ball over the cross bar & between the sticks to get points.
They are now members.

Really, is it that impossible for you to think someone could come to an AFL game and enjoy it???

Living in Sydney I was responsible for recruiting a quite number of rl followers into AFL fans and members.
It's especially pleasing now it's three generations who follow and attend Swans games so it's ongoing.
And even more so is the creation of football clubs like Maroubra (Randwick City) and others.

God RL fans are generally insecure - Beaussie DIDN'T say they no longer followed RL - only that they now follow the Swans - hahaha FFS these NUPHY's are thick!

Quite a funny thread. All the RL fans are so defensive. In Melbourne ive been noticing a lot more RL advertising around town this year perhaps they are doing well in Melbourne this year. Anyone going to a sporting event is doing a good thing in my book.
