Can you show me where the breakdown of the STV figures are.
They only show national not cities.
So you probably had the AFL calculator out.

I never claimed I had a breakdown of sTV ratings by city. Surely you're not disputing a STV ratings figure of 250k would inclue 30k from Sydney when Sydney are actually playing, especially given NSW have the highest subscription rates in Australia by some distance. Not even youre that dumb
The tvtonight figures I posted showed all Thursday night programs rated less than 100k, effectively busting Raiderdave and his lies that the jetsons or tellytubbies outrate the swans. In fact on a secondary digital channel not much if anything does.

He didn't say that at all para ... He said of 250000 surely you'd give a certain percent to Sydney especially given the high up take of pay in Sydney.

Dave, i think the AFL are currently happy to be the dominant football code in this country ... By a long long way. You can play AFL almost anywhere, there are clubs all around the country at significant numbers, you can watch and hear it almost everywhere. Whilst they keep the feelers out internationally, as any good business would, they still make multi millions in their main market .

Nothing except more jealousy.

At least it can make a reasonable claim to being nationl.

the 2500 at SPORTLESS stadium , & the 10000 watching on TV in Sydney say Hi fucktard
the only way an ounce of success can be obtained by this Victorian abortion outside of its heartland
is to have the teams there cheat the salary cap & draft
look what happens when they don't ... I give you the Kitty Kat Wions
& every team in NSW & QLD would be the same if they weren't allowed to compromise the integrity of the comp
the VFL national ?
pigs fuckin arse it is

:_<> :_<>
Adelaide would say hi, but then they cant even get the NRL live on tv - and when they did it averaged 8k - let alone a team. Perth doesnt have a team. National Rugby League haha...you'd be better off calling it the International Rugby League at this point, its more accurate.
You'd have to go overseas to get some attention given your two state lovefest rates lower than state footy in Victoria (33k to 20k), isnt even on live tv in Adelaide (where the SANFL average is 24) and rates lower than state footy in WA (14k -12k). Id love to tell you what the ratings are in regional WA, regional Victoria, and Tasmania, except unless Origin is on there arent any.
yeah yeah i know...go fuck myself.
where have I ever claimed the NRL was national dickhead ?
it isn't
neither is that bumbling abortion you follow
&
I just love pointing this out to the ret.ar.ds in singlets

Agreed .
When 2 territories & One State have no team then it is NOT national.

Aussie rules is the football code in tassie so that's two territories . Aussie rules in the major code in nt. ... Albeit rl has a good following too. Canberra ... Well that's nsw let's face it ... SOO basically calls it nsw.
And it's national cause Aussie rules has a presence pretty much all over the country ... I can go to towoomba and watch a local Aussie rules game ... Go to gippsland in Victoria for instance and no rl to play. Gee I could go to Warwick and watch the local Aussie rules side.
And I can watch it on TV all over the country too. And hear a game in the radio as well.
When we say rl barely exists outside it's heartland we aren't bring smart arses looking for an argument it's just the way it is. How many nrl players grew up and played rl outside nsw and qld then went from there to nrl ?

Here we go again.
No sport in this country is truly National at the top Level and the closest we have ever had would be Basketball years ago when they had the rollers, cannons and whatnot all over the joint.
To have that, you would need each capital and each major city (pop over 150k at least) to have a team.
Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Hobart, Canberra, Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Gosford, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Townsville and a few more scattered around. there is no way any football code out here is ever going to do that with our population, not even if it doubles.
That's 14 teams alone there with Sydney, Mel and Bris all having 1 team each, imagine having all the AFL clubs or NRL clubs from either syd or melb involved, it ain't gonna happen.
Thus, Australia will always remain a country with more than 1 national football code.

Aussie rules is national easily ... At least it's played at significant levels across the country and there are significant numbers from across each city and state that play at the highest level . Rl can't claim this ... But that's okay. Rl has a good international presence ... Well better than AFL. They're just different.
