Theres a difference between being upset and being bemused by it. The data does suggest a drop off in crowds during origin, which pick up after origin but never to the same level as they were before the series started.

Wookie this is the exact Mirror image of what happened after the NRL season last yr when the RLWC was on.
The foaming & frothing at the mouth ..the outright lies(Swines is still telling them) the Thread after thread started by insanely jealous Fumblers tells me upset does not begin to describe how upset any REP RL makes these mongs.

Only difference is SOO is during the season.

& I cant wait for the FOUR Nations at the end of the yr.

For the fumblers it will be Rinse repeat rinse repeat ..all the while denying they are jealous.
:))) :))) :))) :))) :))) :))) :))) :)))
The day an AFL fan is jealous of the NRLs crowd averages is a very long way off. We'll still get close to 6.8 million through the gate this season - more than every other professional league and sport combined in this country, despite no internationals, no origin or other representation.
:(/ :(/ :(/

All in victoria.
go and check up some facts and figures, first dipshit

I dont know it all about the NRL - but stats.rleague.com is a pretty reliable website when it comes to NRL crowd data. I dont care how much NRL you've seen in your life - the data doesnt change. Average crowds do not recover to their pre origin levels in 2012 and 2013.

As for us knowitalls, ill bear that in mind next time one of you idiots pops up about the VFL and a game only played in Victoria, despite a third of members being in WA/SA, and a third of crowds coming from outside Victoria, and despite the games history developing in parallel in every state since the 1890s - before your league was even born.
Victorian rules.

Theres a difference between being upset and being bemused by it. The data does suggest a drop off in crowds during origin, which pick up after origin but never to the same level as they were before the series started.

In 2012
- PreOrigin Crowds averaged 17,416
- Crowds during the Origin Series averaged 14,313
- Crowds post origin averaged 16,597

In 2013
- Pre Origin crowds averaged 17,365
- Crowds during Origin series averaged 13,586
- Crowds post origin averaged 15,832

So far in 2014
- Pre Origin Crowds averaged 16,984
- Crowds during the Origin series averaged 14,366
With the NRL's best 40 players playing minor roles, and less focus on the club scene over this period, I am surprised people find it a surprise or are even bemused.

I am a bit surprised though that there has been a drop off in crowds at the back end of the year , but 2 years hardly sets a trend. An 8 week period - a couple of rainy weekends

1st no one is jealous mistaking reality for jealousy is your problem - have acknowledged many times that the games are an EVENT - probably the largest of its kind in Australia. Where is the jealousy in that statement.
2nd I have said it's a gimmick - having players choose who they want to play for - e.g. Greg Inglis - means that the concept of STATE OF ORIGIN is in name only - where is the jealousy in that statement?
Lastly - I have always maintained my opinion should means nothing to you and how you enjoy it - again where is the jealousy in that statement?????

You are so paranoid that you can't counter these arguments - instead like someone throwing the proverbial Barbs - your jealous; your racist; your homophobic etc etc - again is that the best yah got??????

You might as well call me a poo poo head while your at it - because that's the highest level your arguments EVER get to!!!!
Hahaha very dumb!

The amount of threads started by you mob about SOO is proof of the insane jealousy you have.

& don't mention the RLWC ..that gets you frothing at the mouth..
You end up lying about players .

But its all right now .
the big bad mean SOO is over ..it cant hurt you any more..

some good games coming up this week.

If broncos and bulldogs/tigers pull a decent crowd this week, averages will be on track to be the highest reg season numbers of all time. Knights should go 30k+ as well.

Parra and the tigers have hit the wall since origin began and I can't see them winning a game between them for the rest of the season.

History has that fucking habit :****
