Now this guy was going around the streets of king cross randomly hitting blokes in the back of the head. He ended up killing one of his victims and then lied to police. I did a little research on this guy because I was shocked with how light the guy got off. What I learnt was that when the police arrested this guy the next day you would never guess where they piked him up. He was at a coaching clinic being held by the Canterbury Bulldogs.
Now this is probably old news to the RL supporters on this site. But wow thats just crazy. One night he is punching blokes on the streets and the next he is hanging out with his role models who do the same on the field. Just another reason why the image of RL isn't great. Now I'm not knocking the sport which is good in a lot of ways, just the attitude that its cool to punch blokes because you feel like it.

Not kidding at all. Yourself along with KE ran out last year after the Orion punch up saying thats how real mean sort out their differences. It was quite sad to watch and showed an ingrained view of violence. I don't believe that you would be dumb enough to take that approach to sorting out your life issues onto the streets. Unfortunately if you read up on Kieran Loveridge to will see he is a bit dense and that he loved RL and the biff. No doubt Kieran was responsible for his own actions but the way his heroes acted on the field certainly only reinforced his views that violence was a legitimate way of sorting out your problems. At the time he was on parole for assault and he was talking about looking for another fight before he went out that night. It would be interesting to see an interview with this young man and the way RL influenced him.
Again nothing wrong with RL the sport. Just the attitude that the biff is ok. I would like to say that the sport is making headway in terms of its attitudes. Perhaps you could do the same.
As to your analogy. :_<> :_<>

You hit the nail on the head RD (sic).
This was the conversation I had in the streets after the last AFL SOO game.
I loved the drugs in the last AFL state of Orion. I love the slogan " bring back the drugs" (sic)

>

>
Sounds a bit crazy doesn't it. But if you swap out the words "drugs" with"biff" and "AFL" with"RL" then every second young male in Qld and NSW had that exact conversation after the Paul Gallen fight last year. There's a big difference between drug use in the AFL and the attitude in RL circles with bringing back the biff. Your analogy again is just crazy.
Again I never said that RL is responsible for the young mans death, I'm a strong believer that we are all responsible for our own actions. However the attitude that punching a bloke in the head in RL games is awesome needs to change. Young dumb people like Kieran who love your sport don't need such poor role models.

the VFL's ridiculous drug policy is the reason the use of drugs is so prevalent in that sport
its their attitude .... their unbelievable arrogance that they know better then the rest of the world just as much as its RL's attitude that a bit of biff on the field is fine & this can be some how linked to a king hitters love of RL & this is a poor look for that sport
well then its also fine to link drug over doses in the Sthn states to the VFL & their ludicrous handling of the drug culture in its sport & how that reflects on the image of that sport
there is really no difference
the attitude that biff on the paddock does NOT need to change as it is no more responsible for anyones actions then the VFL's moronic attitude to drug use

if the AFL drug policy is rubbish where does it leave the NRL's?
the one where the clubs are responsible for testing their own players
the NRL commission is to cheap/to poor, to employ some contracting mob to actually to do a professional of testing the players

You derpball fans love slinging shit at RL ,yet ignore the big shitpile you are standing on..
A Lane Cove man says he was left with concussion and still can’t fully open or close his jaw after he was assaulted by six Sydney Swans fans at the SCG on Saturday night.
Julian Wymer was with his girlfriend, mother and step-father to see the Giants go down to the Swans 8-12 (60) to 15-16 (106).
Mr Wymer, a dual supporter of both clubs, says as he was leaving the MA Noble members’ stand a man in a Swans jersey started swearing and shouting abuse at him for wearing a Giants shirt.
"I stopped walking and said ‘come on mate is that really necessary’," Mr Wymer said.

You're an idiot.
You got nothing. What a surprise.
I got plenty.

"And before I could get the words out someone had king hit me and tackled to the ground."

I dont think you get it. Unless i missed the full on brawl with everyone cheering and the commentators saying how great it was at the Swans, Giants game. It's not about if fighting occurs. It's about the idolisation or the biff rather then the condemnation of it. This is the wrong sort of image to project for the greatest game of all.
