So where is the crowds, membership, sponsorship and revenue coming from in 4 years RD - oh that's right you never have a little thing called evidence to support what you say just blind faith - well the NRL has only just caught up to where the AFL was in 1994 (in relation to memberships). Only just caught up to crowds (since the 60's) and revenue well there's still 130 mil to go there, participation well less than 10,000 in Vic, SA, WA and NT - NSW alone 28,000 - so 4 years eh - good luck!

Melbourne didnt fill the MRS even though they came close - 28,716 isnt quite the 30,050 they've listed as capacity.
Paramatta Stadium capacity is listed as 21,487 - closest theyve got this year is 18,631 - unless you mean the 50k they got at ANZ Stadium with its 80k capacity.
Which ANZAC game? Broncos probably didnt fill Suncorp at 44,122 - its capacity is listed at 52,500. Allianz is listed at 45,800 - but the hosted game only pulled 38,784. The Storm game is the same one discussed above.

kinda shows the smalltime mentality of a lot of australians who seem to get a kick out of showing a youtube video to a very mediocre nfl player wanting to get an opinion from him

no nrl players have the ability to play american football in the nrl, if they did they would be over there doing it. apart from kickers, essentially the nrl is full of second rate athletes especially when compared to a league with that kind of pool of talent

but im sure someone out there will try and convince you that the SOO game last night was an elite showcase of world class skill, pity i fell asleep after 15 or so minutes but its ok i woke up in time for the socceroos match against the netherlands later on

A number of AFL players have successfully played NFL and I imagine an NRL player might play NFL just as a NFL player might play NRL or AFL but they are different games aerobically.
One thing for sure is that soccer players wont come into any equation.

oh for sure, unlike a lot of countries, australians have a lot of options here, plenty of sports to play as a kid. adam goodes played soccer in his youth, so did darius boyd and billy slater. if later in life they realize they start to enjoy or figure out that they can be really successful at another sport, then go for it

but you will never find a professional soccer player, even the ones based in australia, in this era ever changing codes and it all comes down to different skill sets and the fact that soccer has a professional league of its own now in this country
