Very selective photos - if you watch the video there is a stand which is relatively full to the right of the Sth goal posts there is another stand and club rooms on the same wing as the camera is situated and presumably the bar and kiosk - a couple of selective photos proves nothing - 5000 stands!

& here is the stand ( Looks like it holds about 80 people ) :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> that you say is relatively full.

I count roughly 120 in that photo

I just looked up NEAFL on the Daily Mercury (Mackay's newspaper) website and couldn't find the review that would have been back up proof. Probably didn't put every story on the website.

It's a great number for an area that isn't strong in footy. The Mackay AFL has been active since 1970 and has ebbed and flowed, but I think they've done some good work on the venues in and around Mackay. So it's highly likely that there were many undercover. Seeing photos or videos never tells the whole story. You have to be there to know. And even then you might not get it right. I thought there were 10,000 at the Parade once (Norwood's home ground in Adelaide) but the official attendance was only 7,000 or thereabouts.

So we have to rely on the official numbers. There is nothing else.
