Settle down there Xman. I know I've been givin you a real pounding on the debates this arvo but sheesh, you don't need to go quoting irrelevant posts in regards to the proof you seek.

In regards to the comment I made I believe there's a precedent you follow regarding clarification of the comment in question. Tbh I don't know for sure that lower teams get to play more lower teams as per the AFL draw. But beaussie told me this is so and he watches and reads heaps of AFL stuff so I think he'd be right. He also has no reason to lie to me.

So there's my clarification re my comment. Perfectly reasonable so the comment stands and the thread of our discussion remains intact. That's the precedent right Xman? Remember, don't let anger and emotions sway ur decision making like you have in the past Xman. Be at one with ur rules

You didnt just say lower teams get to play each other more often, you said they are playing lower sides more and more each season. You used this unsubstantiated excuse to counter my valid point.

So I think your failure to provide legitimate proof is evidence my point stands. That being the AFL is more evenly balanced and less one sided than last year, just like we said it would be

Close thread?

Applying your rules to the NRL after 6 rounds:

- the sharks have only one win against 15th. Most of their matches have been thrashings
- the warriors have won only 2 games with one against 13th. They were thrashed by 16th
- the knights have only won 2 games with one being 16th and one being 12th. Theyve also been thrashed regularly
- the cowboys have only had 2 wins with one being against 12th
- the raiders have only had 2 wins with one being against 14th
- the panthers have only had 3 wins with one against 14th and one against 12th

Oh dear. 6 basket case teams out of only 16 clubs! :\:

Xman, be my guest and do what I've done 2 years running (Barr port Adelaide) accurately pick the bottom six in the nrl prior to the completion of round 5 ;)

Your lil stats you keep coming up with mean diddly squat. I'm accurate two seasons running. I know who the basketcase league in the AFL is and have proven it for two years. Can you do the same with the nrl?

Nah, you wouldn't even have the guts to try

I've applied YOUR rules to the NRL and come up with as many basket case teams as youve stated are in the AFL. Read it and weep

Cool so your nrl 2014 basketcase league is the following Xman?

Knights panthers sharks raiders warriors cowboys.

I guess they're in the bottom six right now so you've had several advantages including being a few weeks later (well I did originally draft my AFL basketcase league prior to the season start) and I think it's an advantage for you with the nrl being a comp with less team but what the hell let's see who's more accurate come seasons end eh. Glad you actually put ur self out there. Care for a bet?

Nope

I have no interest in betting on the worst clubs in each comp. every competition in the world has good and bad teams.

You're boring us to tears, now go away

No I'm challenging you to tears. The truth can be a bitter pill to swallow Xman but the AFL is a very lopsided comp. it's glaringly bloody obvious. Your and others' resistance to accept this is childish, shocking and amusing.

Yet you have no figures to suggest it is any more one sided than the NRL.

Thats my last comment on the topic. Unless others show interest in discussing this topic over the next few days I'm going to lock it like all the others

I will take notice of the betting markets..

& there are far far juicier odds on offer each week for AFL games than NRL games..
