You'll see the blockbusters over the next couple of rounds will smash any NRL figures, the AFL would be happy to get a Tassie game and GWS game out of the way early too.

Look out next week NRL

Thursday night MCG blockbuster 60k plus
Friday night MCG blockbuster 60k plus
Saturday Adelaide oval showdown 45k plus
Sat night dockers first home game 35k plus
Sat night swans v pies ANZ 35k plus

Good luck keeping up with the AFL nRL fans
Whats funny is your tv ratings are also way down.

Friday just past 545k metro for AFL, 720k metro for NRL.............................smashed...     now add in regionals and its a massacre.

Lowest round 1 crowds for the AFL in 20+ years...............

That can be put down to the AFL starting the season early without access to its cricket grounds............AFL's plan to muscle in has backfired tremendously.      :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>
so you need to add 2 NRL games to match the 1 AFL game for friday nites ratings? :-k

AFL people never said the NRL crowds were bad for round 1. It was NRL people e.g journalists.

HAHA you know they are bad when the people who support the game say they it

Whilst there was indeed a large drop, the average for round 1 in the AFL it is still more than 10,000 ahead of the NRL average after three rounds. However the NRL average, if it's maintained, will be the best ever and that can only be good for them and for competition.

You know nothing about rl, AFL, AF in NZ and now statistics.

The current average is equivalent to a few years back.
If pigs fly then yes the rl will maintain this average but every year the rl
crowd average drops. The factors that cause this are still present are probably
worse due to the unbalanced TV coverage.

No two seasons can ever be exactly the same. So your argument is crystal balling in hope. The AFL needs the NRL to work it's way up in order to improve it's own quality.

Lucky if there was 4000 a lot of empty seats! What fans there was there seemed to be made to sit on their own so it looked like more turned up!

Stop deflecting.
My post was in response to this lie by COS.

"If pigs fly then yes the rl will maintain this average but every year the rl

A straight out lie.
Which brings me back to the question...
Why do AFL fans have to lie .
Are they so insecure that they feel they must compulsively lie ..
