17 of the last 18 VFL games played at ANZ since 2008 .. would have comfortably fitted into the " new" SCG & its capacity of 48,000

the VFL is wasting its time at ANZ
it has simply slipped so far down the list of priorities for Sydneysiders it can no longer go near filling that cities biggest Stadium

like I said
when the contract is up ... they will abandon the venue in favour of the SCG
leaving the venue to be squared up for important sports

it would be good if the AFL did, ANZ is a shit stadium pure and simple!
bulldoze the place & start from scratch with that 250 odd million they want to waste
the place was only built for the 2000 olympics not sport in Sydney. it should follow the path of many other olympic stadiums, & be demolished.
the NRL has the sydney FC that it struggles to even get to half capacity for most of the time
the AFL has the SCG

the MCG is only what it is to day is due to the revenue & crowds that the AFL bring in. 1 test match, acouple of t20s & odis every year isn't going to pay for the cost of up grades.
