Holden isn't Australian, goose. It got bought out by General Motors decades ago.

Sanitarium (who produce Weet Bix) have more money in their kick than Dick Smith. And even rugby league players eat Weet Bix!

LOGIC FAIL.
Logic fail by this rl "fan".

Who closed down Holden ? - some people in the good ol' US of A, that's who(commonly called GM exectutives). The Australian content of the Holden was down to about 25% it being practically an Opel.
Did you think the advertising of Opel was a new brand did you?
You'll still be able to by your "Holdens" as fully imported Opels.

Dick Smith. Is truly a great Australian who sold his naming rights decades ago.
The store is totally different now to the store he founded and is struggling to find it's place.

Weetbix is a brand that has great significance to most Australians - on a daily basis.

When you look at car manufacturers - most are represented in sports.
Toyota for the AFL and the Crows. Renault for P.A. VW for Swans, Skoda for GWS, Ford for Geelong
Hyundai for the AL. get the picture.

Reading on;
In 1908 it moved into the automotive field, before becoming a subsidiary of the United States-based General Motors (GM) in 1931.

It's NOT Australian, Dave! It hasn't been for over 80 years!

GM being the parent company hasn't mattered to most Australians over those 80 years
& Aussies have always considered & still do.... that Holden as an Australian Icon dickhead

Oh it matters, Dave! It has always mattered! And by the way - that so called icon is leaving the country lock stock and distributor cap by 2017. So who's abandoning who when it really matters I wonder?
