Since the development of 9s overseas what once used to hold AR is now an advantage.
Clubs develop local teams of nine and play 18s away. It is still a struggle to find decent playing fields.
AR clubs utilise RU pitches and facilities a lot so it's strange that RU is repaying AR for the damage it once inflicted such a long time ago.

The weather is a big factor but countries adapt, some extend their season by playing indoors.
One reason why rugby has not made a big impression North of France is the weather.
Guys don't want to be constantly tackled and held down on the mush.
AR has the advantage of providing the physicality without the muddiness.
NRLCrap1 wrote: Australia is the only country at present who can host the IC as it has the number of ovals available that are required.
Completely wrong. There are tournaments overseas that are in a multi-oval format both in North America and Europe. Players choose to play in Australia because Australia is the the home of AR and they want to experience some of that.

wikipedia NRLC. nice source mate.
give me a couple of days and i'll have it saying RL is played in 120 countries around the world with 1 sentence descriptions like the AFL has for many of its '69' countries. but i couldnt be arsed as you're so blatantly wrong about what you said in my sig.....
again i'll ask you. would you rather have 1k participation on average and 1k crowds across 20 countries. or 10k crowds and 10k participation across 10 countries? if you choose the 1st one you're an imbecile. but i guess we already knew that.

I am just happy to have AFL played at a professional level in my own country where I can go to local games, listen in radio, watch on tv, and read about in the press wherever I go or live in this wide brown land.

Or when you travel around the world you can watch some AR and meet the locals.
It's a good way supplement your travels.

While I agree with the second point, the IC is much bigger than any of those other tournaments and no one could host them at present. In 2008 for instance, I read that they needed four ovals in the one location to get through the last day. I don't think there's anywhere O/S that would have that arrangement.

A. You won't touch RL on Wikipedia with that because you'll be reverted for making claims without a source! Wikipedia is sourced for the 69 countries playing AFL!
B. I would rather have a presence in 20 countries rather than 10 no matter what the numbers are when it's in development!! I'd be pissed at 10 countries only no matter what the numbers because the other ten have been neglected! So you'd neglect 10 countries just because you're doing enough in the other ten? I won't hire you as a sporting consultant.....

NRLC is confirmed as a legitimate retardd.
he would rather have 1k participation and crowds in 20 countries than 10k participation and 10k crowds in 10 countries.

Fyiar you are the one who proven yourself to be what you called me, because you don't understand the art of expanding a sport. 1K now expands to 10K in time in 20 countries. Did you think of that? Of course you didn't!
Bravo you, goose!

I saw that the recent Axios championship drew 2k in Boudreaux in France - not bad considering the have only had a competition going for about 5-4 yrs.
