The National Draft gets more publicity in one night than the thugby world cup has gotten for the entire tournament so far. I agree with Rothfield, the RLWC really is a pathetic joke when we all know only 3 teams have a chance.

Two teams, Stewie! You really think England have a hope? Even New Zealand's claim is wishful but at least they fluked it once. That's why there's no real tangible interest. It's just a passing fancy. Once it's done, it's gone. The draft on the other hand has long reaching effects as everyone keeps track of the number one pick and his progresss and anyone else (like all the attention Nic-Nat got even though he was number two). I'll bet the Adelaide media will be following James Aish's progress at the Lions with aplomb!

Lol
I'm not sure any sport would be jealous of a 64-0 semifinal

Eels, how is it double counting. If I watch the rl at 3 am and the replay at 2 pm the ratings are reported for each time slot. But that still doesn't explain the double counting on pay tv for AFL as they don't add the replay figures in?

And aflc , from my readings, it would seem most people bagging out the rlwc on other forums are rl people... The debate seems to be mainly between those for and against who are rl fans .

Firstly, this RLWC is not about growing the sport in australia. if there's large interest that's great. but it's about the game in Europe and the islands (primarily the UK and France).
i'm not sure about your dodgy research but here you go.
thanks for playing. and that'll obviously increase in the next 1-2 weeks ahead of the final and in the aftermath.
is there a climax for AFL draft? when is it?

forgot to mention, that is for Australia. couldnt't fit it in.
you get smashed even further if i make it worldwide and include NZ/Fiji/UK.
