this bit needs inspection

The Blues were believed to be in more than $8 million debt as recently as 2010.

so :-k

even based on a healthy profit in 2011 ... & the 750K loss in 2012
when you factor in compounding interest on the debt at around %10
the meagre & pathetic 300K they made this year .... would still have seen their 8 million debt in 2010.. grow to about 9 Million in 2013
so in fact they're further in debt

the games in good shape is it cockhead   :(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<>

sure it is

sure

not if they can only turn profits of 300K you cockheads
that wouldn't cover half the interest on the principal

but yeah ... the games doin great 8-[

fuck me
how dumb are this lot :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

What a 1 mil turn around in finances isn't a good result? If so I will remind you when NRL club figures come to hand!
they need to be doing better then 300K in profits when they're 8 million plus in debt wanker
otherwise the debt grows because that sized profit doesn't cover the interest on that sized debt

It aint rocket science you fumbling twats   :(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<>
Is that anything like the 49 mil that Penrith owes??????

These clubs factor debt recovery into their budget, so their profit is after paying debts down

Oh beg to differ to deranged NUPHY
Panthers

All going to plan, the Panthers could become one of the stronger clubs in the NRL within a few years. The balance sheet of the football club has high debts but also a large asset base. Under Phil Gould's leadership the football club managed to lift revenue by about $1.7 million from 2011 to 2012. This meant the leagues club assistance was $4.7 million in 2012. The club is predicting this will fall to $3 million in 2013, still some way from washing its own face.
For the moment though, the football team still depends on the financial support of its owner, the Penrith Leagues Club. The Panthers should be on par with the mighty Bulldogs Leagues Club, however a spending spree more than a decade ago, financed by debt, has threatened the group's existence.
Under the leadership of group chief executive Warren Wilson, who has been in the job just under two years, debt has dropped from more than $90 million to just over $42 million. Interest cover has gone from barely one times cover to eight times cover, with the interest bill slashed and debt refinanced with ANZ. Leagues club profits have also been increased, which bodes well for the future. The Panthers are on the way back.
