Fiji NRL sponsorship for their international team has risen from 100k around 7 years ago to a million dollars a year (4 years). i.e. a TEN TIMES increase for the team that competes in the RLWC in 6-7 years. And FOUR times the previous deal of 250k per year. i'm laying out the cold hard facts and you just cant face em.

how's the AFL IC going at generating interest, money, crowds,TV ratings etc. etc. all these KPIs you often talk about.

Last season there was two divisions, including development sides, but for this season all sides were merged into the one main competition.

There are approximately 200 Australian Football players in France with about 5% - Alban says 10-12 players at most - being expatriate Australians, and most of those are based with the Paris club. Recently, a club made up entirely French players won the league, after years of being dominated by Paris. Alban believes this is a great sign for the health of the game in France.

The league consists of 6 rounds, semi finals and a final. With 3 rounds played in the autumn, and three rounds and finals played in the spring. Alban says that no one wants to play in the cold and snow during the winter. In addition clubs play friendlies against each others.

Games are played primarily on rugby and soccer grounds - cricket ovals are practically non existent in France. The league plays 9 a side football with the same rules that apply to the 18 a side game.

This mornings semi final between ENG and NZ sure was no joke. WHAT A GAME! I got home and was able to watch it, wow it was 'edge of your seat' action for the full 80mins. England very unlucky, NZ won the game in the last minute.

This was one of the best games i had seen this year, these two teams' performance today was in no way a joke, im pretty sure them and the fans at the ground and watching on tv(like me) would find it insulting to say otherwise..

Todays game was a great spectacle that surely would have attracted new fans to RL, and the RLWC on a whole has been a success and a great advertisement/promotion of the game(that doesn't require the games administration paying overseas schools and supplying the equipment for the sport to be played during PD/H/PE)

it was truly a game for the ages
a Sthn English jurno stated it was the best sporting spectacle he'd seen in any sport in 2013 ..... he'd not seen such drama & skill mixed in together.

I can't wait for the 4 nations tournament next year

No you imbecile, if you had basic comprehension skills you could realise that I was talking about Fiji's campaign throughout the RLWC. only a ****** such as yourself would assume someone said Aus vs USA = Fiji sponsorship when Fiji is playin in the same tournament and made the semi final in front of just under 70 thousand people in london.

And as for the running away, i actually have a life mate. i dont just sit around correcting ********* like yourself all day. was somewhat entertaining reading your dribble at the beginning but is somewhat sadenning seeing people like you who presumaably vote (unless your 14 which isn't unlikely)

only a few corporate tickets remain unsold

it will be a cold hostile crowd for the Kangaroos .... the poms will be cheering loudly for NZ & booing & jeering Australia loudly
