Yeah, and that Dally M article is right at the top with a big picture while you have franklin's article in small print. And this is supposedly the biggest story in AFL of the year aside from set events like GFs etc.

Really punching into NRL heartland with a small print 5 words about him and a little picture and another headline in the sports section.

what the picture of the guy & girl in a white half see through dress, click on it all it has its has photos of couplels attending the nite girls in tight dresses, no substance, no story just pictures of the nite, is that ment to mean something about the stereotype rl fan to stupid to read, just look at pictures.

so i assume i was correct in saying this is the biggest story of the year. and it gets a tiny article on the smh. AFL will never dominate the northern states, nor anywhere outside of those backward southern areas. it's been a hundred years, still don't hear another country playing fumbleesss??

there was a picture of the Dally m awards with a nrl player and a girl in a tight white hald see throuth dress.
there is an article titled Lance Franklin's sting in the tail Contains, on the front page with 103 comments what people have said about it,
prehaps try reading some head lines instead of looking at pictures

The Dally Ms happened a few hours ago, that's way more important than GF articles. Those will start coming in from tomorrow onwards, not to say there haven't beeen any there have been plenty.

AFL.com.au is reporting that the offer is $10M over 9 years.

…surely that cannot be right.

If so, the Sydney List Manager needs to be quietly pulled aside, told to take a deep breath, and see if that ludicrous offer can be withdrawn…quickly.

The Herald Sun believes the Swans’ 9.8 per cent cost of living allowance is all but dead, pending an AFL Commission decision.

Sydney’s move to lure Franklin has effectively killed it off, despite GWS boss David Matthews saying yesterday the club wanted extra funds to lure players to western Sydney.

The league is already reviewing the cost-of-living allowance, with AFL executives Andrew Dillon and Mark Evans to fast-track a recommendation to the AFL Commission.

But the expectation is that Sydney’s extraordinary offer for Franklin, a year after the $900,000 a year Kurt Tippett coup, will see the allowance phased out.

That could happen over as many as three seasons, but the league is expected to respond to the competition-wide outrage over its use by Sydney.

Exactly. I suspect he remembers the Plugger days in Sydney and how big he was for our game in the harbour city. As a result, he is spooked. Crowds are going to be massive in Sydney next season along with a membership spike in numbers.
