Surely the city with the biggest uptake of Foxtel would have had some viewers watching on Fox Footy right? I'd say at least 30,000 Sydney siders were watching on Fox Footy, bringing the total above the Melbourne ratings for the nRL.

even allowing for about 30K watching on FOX
that's 136K to 117K
do you think more then 19K more wouldn't have been watching the Storm next week in Melb for a GF Qualifier if they'd won last night ?

Who knows. What we do know is that the Swans ratings in Sydney > the Storm's in Melbourne. Plus the overall AFL ratings last night once again mauled the nRL's.

As Xman said, the Swans haven't been going into Sydney live in prime time for 30 years you fucking liar. Also, maybe if the nRL had bigger TV ratings Fox Sports would make a dedicated nRL channel with a simulcast of ch9 games? But having said that, Fox Footy doesn't add extra ratings. If there was no FF, tho 400k or so that watched on FF last night would be watching the game on channel 7/mate.
