Yes, a 10k difference is "close", the storm are even closer to some AFL clubs then the lions are to the broncos

The Broncos are the top team in the NRL, so to have a club only 10K away isn't as bad as you seem to think!

In Melbourne Rugby League crowd average is about 17,000 - AFL is 250,000

In Brisbane Rugby League crowd ave is about 34,000 - AFL is 20,000

Storm are no where near as close to the AFL as the Lions are to the Broncos. Stats dont lie

How about Swans average 30k, the highest Sydney NRL team averages just over 20k
