no the crowds are dismal like that every week, any ways isnt Melbourne weather to be a lot worse, yet the AFL still manages to attract crowds, rain, hail or shine :<>

The last time the nRL averaged 15k a round was over a month ago! It's all ova for the nRL, all ova.

Just scored me a tiket off a friend who unfortunately cant make it. Been about 10 years since I been to an origin, this should be freakin mammoth! Go the BLUES!
I guess the only thing that comes remotely close in the AFL is the GF. If the swannies make the gf this year, and I certainly hope they do, ill be down there in Melbourne town. I wonder what event will feel more electric and have more atmosphere?
Id say the RL will feel more electric. Its just a more electric game. Atmosphere might be about even all up, I dunno, but ill be sure to analyse the situation and provide you all with the truth, as per usual, if this goes the way I wish.
To be continued...

The nrl on tv when no one is there and those boring commentators talking about what they had for dinner the night before ... Is anything but electric. Why don't people go if it is so exciting ?

a bad nrl game is ten times better then the best bumbling crap VFL you'll see
just because a pack of demented ****'s from Stillbourne attend VFL as they have nothing else to do in their shallow featureless boring lives
... doesn't mean its any good shithead

There's a reason why nRL crowds are miniscule compared to AFL crowds Dementedave. Rl is simply not entertaining. Who would actually pay to watch a few apes throw a ball a couple of metres for 80 minutes? Neanderthals, that's who.

No decline. 39,000 is a great crowd and should lauded, not scoffed at. Especially when the NRL struggles to break 10,000 on a regular basis! SOO doesn't count, especially Game 3 this time around when you have two games that are the perfect lead in. The trouble is that rugby league puts all of it's promotional efforts into it, and does nothing for the NRL until the final in New South Wales!
Dave "Allen", master comedian, strikes again!

Any nRL club would take a crowd of 39k. The western Sydney nRL derby couldn't even manage 10k ffs, talk about a decline!
nRL has...
zero cities
zero states
zero countries
Deal with it
