Kindly do not label AFL as one city, one state, one country, again, Raider Dave. Because you are not correct.

so the AFL on averages more people to a game in NSW than the NRL
in brisbane the broncos have an average attendance of 24748 in 2012, so take that out of the equation, the NRL would average what 15k on average to a game.
so the AFL out draws the NRL pretty much in every state

I just did the maths and round 1-11 2012 averaged 17185 (84 matches) compared to this year at 17140 (88 matches) or an average of 45 less people per game (round 10 in 2012 had 7 matches and round 11 had 5 matches so 4 less matches in 2012 with a slightly higher average). Unfortunately its just not growth. What did RD say? Up by a 1000. I think he needs to look again a little more deeply.

Sorry for thinking that comparing the same rounds would a better comparison. I mean your way of comparing now that i look closely is much better. Continue with the wow oh wowing we have 17000 people on averaging going to our games. Ignore that crevasse that you are approaching.
