Last night we had the Swans Vs the Dockers play out an exciting draw.
No other code can match the excitement of an Australian Football game when the scores are level.
When every single action can be difference between winning and losing.
So close.
All the Dockers had to do was punch the ball through little sticks yet Sam Reid takes a game saving mark .

no other code has players with hands like feet & seemingly have a ball covered in oil
they can't kick straight
they can't stay on their feet

they have no vision
they lack speed & urgency at vital times
they are un co ordinated & quite un athletic & choke under pressure

Yeah there are many people who don't like the game. Think it depends what you're brought up on I think. I used to not get rl either ... Then I stopped comparing it to Aussie rules and gained a better understanding of the game. Seeing them as totally different has helped with this and me trying to say which is better .. For me it is not about AFL is better than nrl as a game , they're just two totally different sports . I just prefer AFL but can appreciate rl. I also like baseball and surfing and other stuff but I love my AFL. I get others prefer nrl , that's fine . For me, once I I accepted nrl for what it is, and opened up to another sport, I think I became the richer for it. After all, it's just sport and really life's too short to hate a sport I reckon .
