You happy with this? I'm still not 100% sure I'm keen to bet on this one as it would be an amazing feat if the Panthers could win it. I mean they've got so much stacked against them in this.
1. Location - Penrith vs Homebush
2. Competition for crowds - Penrith vis a vis all other Sydney RL clubs - GWS vis a vis the Swans
3. Crowd culture - Everyone knows RL looks great on TV while marngrook doesnt quite cut it on the big screen
But still this one could be close, such is the dominance of RL in sydney

Deal. The Giants aren't without their disadvantages:
1. Only 1 game against a local team to bring "away" fans, vs 5 for the Panthers.
2. Giants have 3 games at a 10k seat stadium in Canberra.3.
Giants are a 2 year old AFL team in League heartland, Panthers are a 47 year old League club in League heartland.
Giants will still win.
since when has Manuka held just 10K dickhead
it holds about 14,500
try posting facts next time & enough with your excuses for why you'll lose
its your fucking bet
& all we get when someone takes it is

ummmm

Surely Dave you can't be that dumb. He never said holds he said seats. How many seats does Manuka stadium have? Come on answer the question. Are you ever write (sic) about anything. It's a stadium in Canberra for Gods sake. Do you actually live in Canberra?
one talks in terms of seats
when thats all a stadium has
Canberra Stadium is a 25,000 SEAT stadium , also its listed capacity
but no one talks of the number of seats at a ground if it has both seats & a grassed area
Brookvale has about 7K seats
but no one talks of this .... only its capacity of 20K
no
our little drac ... just didn't have any idea that Manuka holds 14.5K

Drac rarely, if ever fucks up. You on the other hand are an embarrassment with your mistakes and ******** estimates and claiming they're facts.

Alright drac lets do this bet but I'd like to reduce the wager because I'm scared I could lose. And how do we obtain the figures?
how about avatars just 'till the end of the year (so Sept 1- Dec 31). We'll go by official crowd figures, as that's all we can go by. There looked to be well under 10k people at Penriff on the weekend, but the official figure is 10,882, so i'll accept it.

People don't stand at AFL games. It's beneath us. The games go for too long, and our stick-like legs get tired. The seated and standing capacity of the new Adelaide oval will be 53,000. But when people ask what the capacity is, we say 50,000, because noo ne gives a sh*t about standing room.

This is true. Although at Adelaide Oval, standing on the Hill for a football game will be very fun. Especially at Showdowns and big games against teams like Collingwood.

Raiderdave is dead right. Drac fucked up. We were discussing what was the drawbacks of each team in terms of getting crowd NUMBERS to the game. The largest crowd wins and therefore Drac shoulda taken into account that there's capacity for 14,500 and if he knew anything about marngrook footy at manuka he'd know the crowd stand all game when there's no seats there. Pies you seem very frazzled which isnt like your normal self. Has dave got you frazzled?
