when it comes to the All Stars concept

Caroline Wislon on Offsiders this afternoon

" the NRL is a long way ahead of the VFL when it comes to the whole All Stars concept , I mean . the VFL's is a very pale imitation of the wonderful event the NRL put on "

the NRL All Stars match was played before 41,201 fans in Brisbane last night at the end of a week of celebration & interaction with indigenous communities
=D> =D> =D>

the Indigenous All Stars belted the NRL all Stars 32-6 in a wonderful exhibition of Rugby League

the VFL's pale imitation ... was a snorefest played infront of 8,350 bored to death fans in Alice Springs
that no one ... including the players
gave a shit about
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
AFL fans are over rep games. :

got sick of playing with themselves eh ?
It works in a 2 state comp, not in a national comp

No it doesn't because neither of the teams is 100 percent indigenous!
So the NRL's ANZAC day games are played by all Australians and all Kiwis are they?

The AFL Premiership season is the real deal, fuck rep games. If the nRL want to risk players getting injuried and missing their amateur league premiership season just so the league can make a bit more money through hosting irrelevant rep games, then good for them.

the real deal
its the same shit year after year

no dimension ... no layers
you can't have any national pride .. as no one else plays your stupid game
you can't have any state pride .. because no one pulls on the state jumper any more
stale
pale

a very boring sport

VFL...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Yet double the crowds............Crowds over 90K for home and away games..........meanwhile the NRL have crowds as low as 7k in their own heartland. Which code is boring?

looks are deceiving
the VFL's crowds are plummetting
heading south at a rate of knots ....... probably because amongst many things ... it is stale .. old hat
no longer appealing as it is
its no longer cutting it ... theres nothing new

meanwhile RL has a series that can attract more veiwers to a game then the VFL Grand final .... 3 times a year
every year

we have internationals
we have an all stars game
we have an ever growing club comp

we have it all

whos more boring ... the VFL quite obviously

If it's such a great area, how come they didn't pull the same crowd they pulled at Suncorp last night? Because it was a shit venue that's why! Play it at a venue that people want to go to and watch the indigenous sportsmen playing the sport! Don't hide it away! Hell, the AFL game never even got TV coverage!!
Hmm the dreamtime at the g pulls 80k.

.

the snorefest at the G ...... VFL tokenism at its best

you could call it the I shat in my daks at the g .. game
& it would have as much meaning

well this year we will see if crowds are really dropping. No new expansion teams, same number of games in qld nsw and tas, no new stadium renovations, no new live TV schedule.

If the crowds plummet this year you will have a point. Lets wait and see shall we?
