Sad sad news indeed here. As a Parrammatta supporter, I'm happy he's not coming our way. A cabbie who used to bus the gws tweens around talked with me a few months back. He said izzy would often sit in the front seat and as the months went by the cabbie noticed izzy had lost weight. He asked how much and from what i remember izzy said something like 17kgs, but it might have been more. The bloke wouldve rocked back into RL a skeleton of the man he once was. Essentially this blokes had two years out of the game, failed at marngrook, and lost a mass amount of weight. My bet is he wouldnt cut it as a starting player on any NRL side and it'll take years, if ever, for him to ge back to where he was...
The sad sad news here is what the AFL have done to a young bloke, who had the world in front of him, a RL star who was going places. The AFL has basically poached him, screwed him mentally and physically, and spat him out all without a care in the world for his future...all for 'promotion'. The way I see it, Izzy's the biggest loser in this, and so is the AFL and the NRL. Alls because of an immoral unethical greedy organisation.
I'd put money on it that, while he'll make money, Izzy will never achieve the more meaningful personal success he looked bound to before the AFL hatched their disgusting 'experiment'. The good thing is RL have 'stars' flocking into the NRL, year in year out. The shame is what's become of Izzy, the AFL Guinea Pig. Again, I'm ashamed the AFL has the word 'Australian' in it.
